Dr. Katherine Vo Cook

Dr. Katherine Vo Cook

Dr. Katherine Vo received her D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 2004. She has been honored to provide excellent dental care in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past two decades. Dr. Vo is committed to remaining current on the latest dental advances with ongoing continuing education and involvement in the prestigious Spear Education Faculty Club. She holds fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and is working on her Mastership by attending approximately 50 hours of continuing education annually. 

In addition, Dr. Vo is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry. She works closely with dental students in the Community Dental Clinic providing oral health education and free dental treatment while cultivating sensitivity and comfort in interactions with San Francisco homeless population. She is held in high esteem by her peers in the San Francisco Dental Society as she was chosen to Chair the Peer Review committee to help manage patient-doctor issues and disputes.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Vo enjoys reading legal thriller novels, exploring gastronomy, training for a new athletic challenge, and planning her next travel destination with her husband David, son Brayden, and daughter Cameron. In 2024, Dr. Vo received the Six Star Medal for completing the World Marathon Majors - New York, Boston, London, Chicago, Berlin, and Tokyo. 

Dr. Vo’s Awards and Recognitions

  • 2023 — International College of Dentists Fellowship

    Fellowship in the International College of Dentists (ICD). The ICD is one the oldest and most prestigious honorary dental societies in the world, dedicated to the recognition of outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and the continued progress of the profession of dentistry. Fewer than 3% of dentists in the United States have been accepted for Fellowship in the ICD. Dr. Vo was honored for her integrity, leadership, and devoted service to others.

  • 2019 — Academy of General Dentistry Fellow

    Achieving a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions a general dentist can achieve. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is the only professional association exclusively serving the interests and needs of general dentists.

    To earn a Fellowship in the AGD, dentists must take more than 500 hours of education courses in various disciplines. Candidates must also pass a rigorous exam. The award is then presented to general dentists in a formal ceremony. Katherine Vo Cook, D.D.S., F.A.G.D. is one of only 6 percent of general dentists who have achieved this honor.

  • 2018 — Pierre Fauchard Academy Fellowship

    An international dental honor organization founded in 1936. It is dedicated to advancing the dental profession, increasing dental knowledge, improving oral health worldwide, and encouraging high ethical standards. Fellowship is by invitation to distinguished individual dentists who uphold the highest ethical standards of the profession. They have made outstanding and unique contributions to the art and science of dentistry.

  • June 5th, 2017 — UCSF School of Dentistry Faculty of the Year

    Dr. Vo has been Awarded Faculty of the Year by the UCSF School of Dentistry in appreciation of her dedication and exceptional service. She is honored to be recognized for her dedication to the Community Dental Clinic, providing comprehensive no-cost dental services to displaced refugees, undocumented immigrants, and the uninsured homeless.

  • August 24, 2017 — Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 Honoree

    Dr. Vo is proud to be named a 2017 Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 honoree! She was invited to an exclusive high fashion spring photo shoot at Zen House in New York City. Incisal Edge celebrates America's finest young practitioners for their achievements in dentistry.

  • 2013 — San Francisco Dental Society Committee Person of the Year

    In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the success of the Community Health and Poster Contest programs, Dr. Vo was awarded the San Francisco Dental Society Committee Person of the Year.

Ana RDA - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Ana, R.D.A.

Ana received her dental assisting certificate and R.D.A. license from the National Education Center. She is a registered dental assistant who has been working in the field for about 20 years. She is well trained in all aspects of clinical assisting to work alongside Dr. Vo to provide the best possible treatment.

Ana's friendly and outgoing personality allows her to dual perform as the first smile all patients see walking through the practice door. She works with our cloud-based patient management system to efficiently provide patients with convenient appointment reservations and confirmations. She is here to assist you with any questions you may have, including fees, financial arrangements, and insurance benefits. She looks forward to continue serving our existing patients and welcoming many more new patients to Dr. Vo's practice.

Ana is a native San Franciscan who lives in the city with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her family.

Nina, RDH - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Nina, R.D.H.

Nina received her bachelor’s in dental hygiene from West Coast University in 2012. Because of the progressive nature of her education, she has been trained in the latest technology, periodontal therapy, caries detection, and pathology assessment. Along with actively continuing her education, she prides herself in providing quality care for her patients.

When she's not in the office, Nina spends her time traveling, reading, wine tasting, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with friends, family, and two lovable cats.

Cherise, RDA - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Cherise, R.D.A.

Cherise received her dental assistant certificate from Bryman Corinthian College. She is a registered dental assistant who has been working in the dental field for 20-plus years. She is well-trained in all clinical aspects and infection control. She is currently furthering her career in the dental field to become a dental hygienist which has been a long-time personal achievement for her.

She is friendly, down to earth, and works well with others. Cherise’s goal is to make sure the patients feel at ease from start to finish. She is a native San Franciscan who now lives in the East Bay. In her spare time, she cheers on her daughter on at her cross country or track and field meets.

Clara, DA - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Clara, D.A.

Clara graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at the College of San Mateo. After spending time with her family at home in New Zealand, she is excited to be at work helping patients be comfortable as they receive the best treatment for dental health. She is grateful and loves being a part of the team here at Dr. Vo’s office.

In her free time, Clara loves going on hikes and getting coffee with friends.
