Dr. Katherine Vo Cook,
DDS, MAGD, FCID

Dr. Katherine Vo earned her D.D.S. from the University of California, San Francisco in 2004 and has proudly served patients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 20 years. She believes exceptional dentistry is built on trust, communication, and lasting relationships. By taking the time to get to know each patient, Dr. Vo creates a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their care.

Known for her compassionate and attentive approach, Dr. Vo is committed to honest, personalized dentistry that prioritizes long-term oral health. She believes patients should always have direct access to their dentist, who personally answers questions, follows up after treatment, and makes every effort to see emergency patients the same day or by the next business day, whenever possible.

Dedicated to clinical excellence, Dr. Vo continually advances her skills through continuing education and is a member of the Spear Education Faculty Club. She earned her Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), one of the profession's highest distinctions, held by fewer than 2% of general dentists in the United States and Canada. She also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Dentistry, mentoring future dentists, and has held leadership roles with the San Francisco Dental Society, including Chair of the Peer Review Committee.

Outside the office, Dr. Vo enjoys reading, discovering new restaurants, traveling with her husband David and their children, Brayden and Cameron, and pursuing endurance athletics. In 2024, she earned the prestigious Six Star Medal after completing all six World Marathon Majors and now enjoys competing in HYROX fitness races, which reflect the discipline, resilience, and commitment she brings to both her personal life and patient care.

Dr. Vo’s Awards and Recognitions

  • 2023 — International College of Dentists Fellowship

    Fellowship in the International College of Dentists (ICD). The ICD is one the oldest and most prestigious honorary dental societies in the world, dedicated to the recognition of outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and the continued progress of the profession of dentistry. Fewer than 3% of dentists in the United States have been accepted for Fellowship in the ICD. Dr. Vo was honored for her integrity, leadership, and devoted service to others.

  • 2019 — Academy of General Dentistry Fellow

    Achieving a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions a general dentist can achieve. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is the only professional association exclusively serving the interests and needs of general dentists.

    To earn a Fellowship in the AGD, dentists must take more than 500 hours of education courses in various disciplines. Candidates must also pass a rigorous exam. The award is then presented to general dentists in a formal ceremony. Katherine Vo Cook, D.D.S., F.A.G.D. is one of only 6 percent of general dentists who have achieved this honor.

  • 2018 — Pierre Fauchard Academy Fellowship

    An international dental honor organization founded in 1936. It is dedicated to advancing the dental profession, increasing dental knowledge, improving oral health worldwide, and encouraging high ethical standards. Fellowship is by invitation to distinguished individual dentists who uphold the highest ethical standards of the profession. They have made outstanding and unique contributions to the art and science of dentistry.

  • 2017 — UCSF School of Dentistry Faculty of the Year

    Dr. Vo has been Awarded Faculty of the Year by the UCSF School of Dentistry in appreciation of her dedication and exceptional service. She is honored to be recognized for her dedication to the Community Dental Clinic, providing comprehensive no-cost dental services to displaced refugees, undocumented immigrants, and the uninsured homeless.

  • 2017 — Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 Honoree

    Dr. Vo is proud to be named a 2017 Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 honoree! She was invited to an exclusive high fashion spring photo shoot at Zen House in New York City. Incisal Edge celebrates America's finest young practitioners for their achievements in dentistry.

  • 2013 — San Francisco Dental Society Committee Person of the Year

    In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the success of the Community Health and Poster Contest programs, Dr. Vo was awarded the San Francisco Dental Society Committee Person of the Year.

Ana RDA - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Ana, R.D.A.

Ana received her dental assisting certificate and R.D.A. license from Bryman Corinthian College. She is a registered dental assistant working in the field for more than 20 years. She is well-trained in all aspects of clinical assistance and works alongside Dr. Vo to provide the best possible treatment.

Ana's friendly and outgoing personality allows her to dual perform as the first smile all patients see walking through the practice door. She works with our cloud-based patient management system to efficiently provide patients with convenient appointment reservations and confirmations. She is here to assist you with any questions you may have, including fees, financial arrangements, and insurance benefits. She looks forward to continue serving our existing patients and welcoming many more new patients to Dr. Vo's practice.

Ana is a native San Franciscan who lives in the city with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her family.

Nina, RDH - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Nina, R.D.H.

Nina received her bachelor’s in dental hygiene from West Coast University in 2012. Because of the progressive nature of her education, she has been trained in the latest technology, periodontal therapy, caries detection, and pathology assessment. Along with actively continuing her education, she prides herself in providing quality care for her patients.

When she's not in the office, Nina spends her time traveling, reading, wine tasting, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with friends, family, and two lovable cats.

Cherise, RDA - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Cherise, R.D.A.

Cherise received her dental assistant certificate from Bryman Corinthian College. She is a registered dental assistant who has been working in the dental field for 20-plus years. She is well-trained in all clinical aspects and infection control. She is currently furthering her career in the dental field to become a dental hygienist which has been a long-time personal achievement for her.

She is friendly, down to earth, and works well with others. Cherise’s goal is to make sure the patients feel at ease from start to finish. She is a native San Franciscan who now lives in the East Bay. In her spare time, she cheers on her daughter on at her cross country or track and field meets.

Clara, DA - Dr. Katherine Vo Cook - Team Member

Clara, D.A.

Clara graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at the College of San Mateo. After spending time with her family at home in New Zealand, she is excited to be at work helping patients be comfortable as they receive the best treatment for dental health. She is grateful and loves being a part of the team here at Dr. Vo’s office.

In her free time, Clara loves going on hikes and getting coffee with friends.
